Location & Overview
Mardan Division is one of the administrative divisions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan. It comprises two major districts:
- Mardan – The second-largest city in KPK, known for its historical sites, agriculture, and educational institutions.
- Swabi – Famous for its academic excellence, agriculture, and sports culture, home to Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI), one of Pakistan’s top engineering universities.
Mardan Division has a rich sports culture, with traditional games like kabaddi, wrestling, and cricket being popular. In recent years, flying disc sports have been gaining recognition, with an increasing number of youth participating.
Mardan Division Frisbee Association (MDFA)
The Mardan Division Frisbee Association (MDFA) operates under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Flying Disc Association (KPK FDA), which is affiliated with the Pakistan Flying Disc Federation (PFDF). MDFA is dedicated to the promotion and development of Ultimate Frisbee, Disc Golf, and Double Disc Court (DDC) in the region.
General Secretary – Munsif Iqbal
Munsif Iqbal serves as the General Secretary of the Mardan Division Frisbee Association (MDFA). Under his leadership, the association is actively working to:
✅ Organize flying disc tournaments and league matches in Mardan and Swabi.
✅ Provide training and coaching programs for young players.
✅ Partner with schools, colleges, and universities to introduce frisbee sports.
✅ Establish flying disc sports facilities and recreational areas.
✅ Strengthen Mardan Division’s participation in provincial and national-level frisbee competitions.
Role within PFDF
As part of the Pakistan Flying Disc Federation (PFDF), the Mardan Division Frisbee Association (MDFA) follows national and international frisbee sports standards. With structured training programs and competitive opportunities, the association aims to make Mardan Division a key hub for flying disc sports in KPK.
Through his vision and dedication, Munsif Iqbal is leading efforts to expand frisbee sports in Mardan Division, inspiring a new generation of athletes to compete at provincial, national, and international levels. 🚀🥏
