Lahore Division – Location & Overview

Lahore Division is one of the nine administrative divisions of Punjab, Pakistan. It is located in the eastern part of the province and comprises four districts:

  1. Lahore – The capital of Punjab and the second-largest city in Pakistan, known for its historical significance, cultural heritage, and sports infrastructure.
  2. Sheikhupura – An industrial and agricultural hub, contributing significantly to Punjab’s economy.
  3. Kasur – Famous for its Sufi heritage, particularly the shrine of Baba Bulleh Shah, and its leather and dairy industries.
  4. Nankana Sahib – A religiously significant city, known as the birthplace of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism.

Lahore Division is a major economic, educational, and sports center in Pakistan. The region has produced some of the country’s finest athletes, making it an ideal location for promoting flying disc sports.

Lahore Division Flying Disc Association (LDFDA)

The Lahore Division Flying Disc Association (LDFDA) operates under the Punjab Flying Disc Association (PFDA) and is affiliated with the Pakistan Flying Disc Federation (PFDF). The association is dedicated to the development, promotion, and organization of flying disc sports across the division, including:

Ultimate Frisbee – A fast-paced team sport growing in popularity.
Disc Golf – A precision-based sport played in parks and open areas.
Double Disc Court (DDC) – A competitive flying disc game played with two discs simultaneously.

General Secretary – Musa Haroon

Musa Haroon serves as the General Secretary of the Lahore Division Flying Disc Association. Under his leadership, the association is actively working to:

Organize tournaments at school, college, and club levels across Lahore Division.
Conduct coaching camps and workshops to train new players and coaches.
Promote flying disc sports in educational institutions and local communities.
Establish partnerships with sports organizations to develop playing facilities.
Represent Lahore Division in national and provincial flying disc events.

Role within PFDF

As part of the Pakistan Flying Disc Federation (PFDF), LDFDA follows international standards for flying disc sports and ensures their growth at the grassroots level. Lahore Division, with its strong sports infrastructure and youth participation, is playing a crucial role in making Pakistan a leading country in flying disc sports.
